Rules Regarding Raffle Ticket Purchase

Official rules include:

1. Tickets are limited to 4,000. The drawing is held whether or not 4,000 tickets are sold. Each ticket is entered separately in the drawing. Each ticket has a separate and equal chance.

2. The drawing will be held at the place and time determined by the American Custom Gunmakers Guild.

3. The winner does not have to be present. The winner will be notified by mail and phone. See notification procedure below.

4. Successive backup winners will be drawn in case the winner does not accept the firearm or comply with rules.

5. The winner is responsible for any federal and state taxes. (Void where prohibited.) 25% federal income tax withholding to the American Custom Gunmakers Guild must be paid prior to delivery of the firearm. ACGG will submit the taxes collected to the IRS. ACGG will submit form W-2G to the IRS to report the prize value and taxes collected. The winner will receive a copy of this form.

6. All Federal Firearms Laws must be abided by. Participant must be eligible to own a firearm.

7. Non-U.S. winners must comply with all applicable import/export laws and pay shipping expenses and any importation or transfer fees. Nonresident aliens will be required to pay 30% U.S. income tax unless the winner is a resident of specific countries exempted by treaty.

8. ACGG respects the privacy and concern for safety of winners of ACGG projects and do not publish their names (only winning ticket number), unless they agree.

The following persons are not eligible to purchase ACGG firearm raffle tickets:

1. Regular Members of the Guild;

2. Regular Members’ Immediate Families – This only includes the following (whether they live in or out of the member’s home.) All other relatives are eligible (including steps and halves).

  • Mother
  • Father
  • Sister
  • Brother
  • Siblings (daughters & sons)
  • Spouse

3. Anyone living in a Regular Members’ household.

4. Anyone involved in the categories of stockmaker(s), metalsmith(s), engraver(s) and casemaker(s) on the project in question.

The following notification procedure will be followed:

1. The winner will be notified by phone.

2. If not available the winner will be notified by certified mail return receipt letter.

3. If there is no response in 30 days, then the 1st alternate winner will be notified by phone and/or certified mail return receipt letter.

4. If no response in 30 days, then the 2nd alternate winner will be notified by phone and/or certifiedmail return receipt letter.

5. Upon acknowledgement, the winner has 30 days to provide tax identification information, pay the required federal income tax, and arrange for the delivery of the firearm.

6. Winners residing in a foreign country are responsible for import-export fees and shipping.

*The ACGG reserves the right to substitute a firearm of equal quality and value. The ACGG reserves the right to change these rules as necessary to comply with laws and issues that arise. The ACGG reserves the right to cancel at any time, in which case its liability is limited to refund of ticket prices to participants.
