Information about ACGG Membership

There are two categories of membership in ACGG: Those that appreciate the quality workmanship (Associate Affiliates) and those that create fine guns (Regular Members). They are united to preserve and promote the art of fine quality firearms.

Associates

Any person, association or commercial firm interested in promoting the art of fine custom gunmaking is invited to become affiliated with the ACGG. Your support is needed to be sure that the appreciation of the artistic efforts combining wood and metal into collectible and usable firearms continues.

Benefits of joining as an Associate:

  • Associate Affiliates receive the quarterly publication Gunmaker, The Journal of Fine Gunmaking. This newsletter includes Guild business, technical tips, book and publication reviews and related information about makers and gun projects. View a sample copy of the newsletter Gunmaker

  • Every other year the Directory of Custom Gunmaking Services is published. This 20+ page guide lists the specialties of the Regular Members.
  • Discounts on seminar tapes, audio history tapes, Membership Directory and all other publications.
  • Access to the ACGG Forum
    (Starting after the exhibition in 2012, Associates will no longer have free admission to an annual exhibition.)

Regular Members

Regular members are individual craftspersons actively in the trade. Members include stockmakers, metalsmiths, engravers, checkering specialist, leatherworkers, and coloring specialists. Application for membership requires examples of work to be submitted for approval. Click for additional details.
