2007 ACGG Education Foundation Rifle

ACGG Education Foundation Rifle .270 Win.
This rifle was the first project to raise additional funds for the Foundation.

The following Guild members and friends contributed to the making of this rifle:

The Project is based on an FN Mauser commercial action in .270 Win. cal. The components to build the rifle were donated by the following people:

  • Action w/checkered bolt – Bruce Farman Barrel- Krieger Barrels, Inc.
  • Trigger – Mark Cromwell, NECG Scope Rings- George Miller, Conetrol Scope Mounts
  • Scope Bases-Chuck Grace Stock Blank- Al Lind
  • Three position safety- Jim Wisner Butt Plate- Roger Biesen
  • Sling Swivel Bases- Dave Tally Trigger Guard/Grip Cap- Jerry Fisher
  • Scope VX III 2.5-8×36- Mike Slack-Leupold Optics

The components were assembled by the following makers:

  • Install new bolt handle, install and chamber barrel- Ed LaPour
  • Turn stock and inlet barreled action and trigger guard- Jerry Fisher
  • Install accessories, final shape, and finish- Chuck Grace
  • Engrave Barrel- Bob Evans
  • Checkered Rifle- Gary Goudy
  • Finish Metal- Dave Norin
  • Photos- Gary Bolster

Engraving in script reads: 2005 ACGG Education Foundation Rifle and the caliber .270 Win. The rifle was Hallmarked by the ACGG Historian.
