When his military tour was over, he became a Gunsmithing student at the Colorado School of Trades. Joe then returned to New York and attended summer Gunsmithing and Engraving programs at the Rochester Institute of Technology

Joe spent the next 20 + years running his own General Gunsmithing Business which included doing gunsmithing for several local gun shops. In those same 20 years Joe stayed very active with the area’s rod and gun clubs. His interests varied between bench-rest and bulls-eye shooting, trap and skeet shooting, and BPCR shooting. He also was involved with the local Black Powder Muzzle Loaders Club.

Joe feels that his combination of experiences has helped him to become well versed in all types of firearm design and function. He is proud that he has built guns that have been used to win several national and state championships.
